Pros
- Why better than apple?
1. its true that like linux, apple is unix too but there one difference is that apple is proprietary and has so many restrictions while linux is open source and we can tinker it as we like
2. in apple u may be able to learn something at surface level but when u face any errors u cant really do much about as it will harder to debug as i said apple is locked so u really cant get as much logs
for example u r learning c or java or nodejs. u r facing problem in installation or using modules so there are some things which are tied at OS level . in that case u cant do nothing and in linux its true there are something manual but u get to learn a lot
3. Do u know whats the best thing about open source. its the open standard which are common and acceptable in community so for your issues solutions will definitely gonna work unlike in windows and apple who regularly change their standards creating problem for end users.
4. Now u may be thing open source also updates a lot . true but as its open source so u can choose what fits for u. Point is u have so many options and stability and what u learn will be useful for rest of your like unless window, apple who dont allow actual access and have to depend on their sdk and api
5. NGL I was windows user for lot of time but it's constant upgrade really pissed me off. So I had installed linux and started using it but it was not my primary and was to use like sometimes in a week. When my ssd corrupted, I had to deal with hdd. Windows shit itself but I just installed light weight distro and it's performance is amazing for HDD.
