ok the general process is as follows

step 1 is each person makes a pgp keypair

it'll just be an rsa or ed25519 keypair or whatever

you can get a software like kleopatra or use gpg on linux

after you make your keypair, each person shares their public key with everyone else

then if person A wants to send a message to person B, person A will use B's public key to encrypt the message

then since only B has the secret key, only B can read the message

solution is to have a periodic backup somewhere else. this is what 'relay servers' handle. if you need a piece of data permanently, you keep it at the relay server
|
|
the server manages its own disk so you as the developer can choose whether to delete a piece of data or not
|
|
if i delete this data from relay this doesnt effect other p2p right as it is decentralized, i mean it will be gone if it is not there from peer but as long as peers too have it it will be there, answer is yes
|
