1. Install a tiny library extractor if you don't have it (this is incredibly lightweight):bash

`sudo apt-get install binutils`

2. Download the .deb package file manually without installing its bloated dependencies:bash
|
|
`apt-get download libclang-14-dev`
|
|

3. Extract just the raw files into a local folder:bash
|
|
`dpkg -x libclang-14-dev*.deb ./mini-clang`
|
|
Use code with caution.
|
|
4. Point Rust to that specific folder before compiling Redlib:bash
|
|
`export LIBCLANG_PATH=$(pwd)/mini-clang/usr/lib/llvm-14/lib/` and
|
|
`cargo build --release`
|
|
Use code with caution.
|
|
Once the build is done, you can delete the mini-clang folder entirely, and your system stays perfectly clean.
|
|
Did extracting just the raw libclang binary file allow your cargo build command to succeed?
|
|
|
|
then `cargo build --release` should be enough
